A circular emblem with text reading 'Arts, Communication, and Theatre School'.

The Arts, Communication, and Theater Magnet School (ACTS) is our oldest magnet program is located at Brewer Middle School.  This magnet program provides artistically talented students, with a rich arts integrated curriculum. ACTS offers students an opportunity to develop their academic skills in an environment that enhances their artistic talents and interests.
Teachers in the ACTS Magnet Program are certified in their fine arts area, but the Brewer faculty is committed to ongoing professional development in Arts Integration.  Teachers strive to make natural and significant connections between educational standards and art forms. Academic and fine arts teachers collaborate to infuse dance, drama, music, and visual arts into their lessons, supporting both the arts and academic disciplines. Science and math lessons are reinforced through music and movement, while ELA and social studies provide a complementary connection with drama and visual arts.
The ACTS Magnet Program is available for sixth through eighth grade students based on availability of space and eligibility. Students who apply for the ACTS Magnet Program, are required to complete the application, as well as the audition the process. All student applicants should be eligible to attend school in Greenwood School District 50.
