High School Associate Principals Reassigned for 2026 - 2027 School Year

Following the principal leadership transitions announced last week, Greenwood School District 50 also announced the reassignment of associate principals at Emerald High School and Greenwood High School for the upcoming school year. These administrative changes are part of the district’s ongoing efforts to align leadership strengths, support school operations, and best serve students and staff at both high school campuses.

Dr. Shannon Holmes has been named Associate Principal at Emerald High School. Dr. Holmes has served as the Associate Principal at Greenwood High School since 2016. Prior to working in District 50, Dr. Holmes taught United States History in the Greenville County School District. Dr. Holmes earned two degrees from Clemson University: a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Social Studies and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision. She received her Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina.

Sally Moore has been named as Associate Principal at Greenwood High School. Moore is currently the Associate Principal at Emerald High School, a position she has held for the past four years. Prior to working at Emerald, Moore served as an Assistant Principal at Northside Middle School from 2018 to 2022 and as a Math teacher at Greenwood High School from 2005 to 2018. Moore graduated from Anderson College in 2005 and went on to earn a Master’s of Education degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University and an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University.

“Both of these administrators have strong backgrounds in instructional leadership and a great understanding of the students in our district and community,” Superintendent Shane Goodwin stated. “We’re confident that Dr. Holmes and Mrs. Moore will continue supporting the high expectations for academic achievement and school culture at Emerald and Greenwood High School.”
