D50 Releases Flu Information to Parents

As you may be aware, our school district and community have experienced an increase in reported cases of the flu. We appreciate our nurses and teachers emphasizing good health and hygiene techniques with our children at school in order to prevent the spread of germs.

As parents, you can help too. Please remember that your child should stay home until he or she is fever-free for 24 hours. Fever is defined as a body temperature of 100°F or higher. Also, remember to discuss good hand-washing habits with your child.

For more information, please see a Flu Fact Sheet provided by the South Carolina Department of Public Health. Thank you for your continued support and helping to keep our schools healthy and safe.
