Following Monday’s Called Board meeting, Greenwood School District 50 announced Jessica Sprouse as the full-time Director of the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. Sprouse has served as Interim Director since the beginning of the school year.
With 19 years of experience in education, Sprouse has served as an administrator, Spanish teacher, World Language Facilitator, and athletic coach. Prior to being named Interim Director, she served as the Assistant Director at the Technology Center for two years, providing strong support for students, staff, and workforce development initiatives.
Sprouse is a graduate of Lander University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She later completed a Master of Education in Educational Curriculum and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University.
Superintendent Shane Goodwin praised Sprouse’s leadership and commitment to career and technical education.
“Ms. Sprouse has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a clear vision for the future of the Technology Center,” Superintendent Goodwin said. “Her experience, strong relationships with staff and business partners, and dedication to student success make her the right person to continue leading RTC forward. The district looks forward to supporting Ms. Sprouse and the RTC team as they continue to provide high-quality career and technical education services for Greenwood County students.”
Sprouse expressed enthusiasm for continuing in her leadership role at RTC.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity and am honored to continue serving at the Technology Center in this capacity,” Sprouse shared. “Our focus will remain on strengthening partnerships within the business community and expanding opportunities for student learning. We will continue working together to uphold the tradition of excellence that defines RTC.”
