Following Monday’s Board of Trustees called meeting, Greenwood School District 50 announced Andrew Macke as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent for Business. Macke joins District 50 from Ninety Six School District, where he served as the Executive Director of Finance for the last four years.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Macke to D50,” Superintendent Shane Goodwin stated. Mr. Macke brings extensive experience in school finance and a strong commitment to serving children and the community. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to realign our financial planning to meet the needs of our students and staff.”
Prior to serving as the Executive Director of Finance in Ninety Six, Macke worked as a manager and senior member of the audit team at Manley Garvin, LLC. Macke received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Colorado State University and also a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Journalism. Macke has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2018.
Macke is looking forward to joining the District 50 team and building on the district’s strong financial foundation.
“I’m honored to be selected for this role in District 50,” Macke said. “I look forward to working alongside our Board, Superintendent, Business Department, and district leadership to support the amazing work happening in our schools every day. My goal will always be to make financial decisions that are in the best interests of our children.”
Macke replaces the current Assistant Superintendent for Business, Rodney Smith, who recently announced his retirement from the district. Smith will continue in his role with the district until the end of February.
