District 50 Names Jim Still as Principal of Greenwood High School

Following the November Board of Trustees meeting, Greenwood School District 50 announced Mr. Jim Still has been selected to serve as the Principal of Greenwood High School. Still had served as the school’s Interim Principal since the beginning of the school year.

Still brings 24 years of dedicated service to District 50, including roles as an administrator, teacher, and athletic coach. Prior to his interim appointment at Greenwood High, he completed three years as Director of the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. His leadership experience also includes serving as Assistant Principal at Clinton High School in Laurens School District 56, followed by positions as Assistant Principal and later Principal at Northside Middle School.

A graduate of Clemson University, Still earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1999. He later received a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Superintendent Shane Goodwin expressed his confidence in Still’s leadership and vision for the school.

“Mr. Still has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the students, staff, and families of Greenwood High School during his time as interim principal. His experience, steady leadership, and deep roots in our community make him an exceptional choice to lead GHS moving forward.”

Still shared his enthusiasm for continuing in the positive momentum at GHS.

“I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to continue serving the students, staff, and community of Greenwood High School,” Still said. “This school has always held a special place in my heart. I look forward to continuing to build on the strong history and tradition of GHS and strengthening our relationships with students, teachers, parents, and staff.”

Still will officially transition into the full-time principal role immediately.
