D50 Ranked as the 20th SC School District on SchoolDigger.com

Greenwood School District 50 was recently ranked as the 20th school district out of 75 districts in the state according to SchoolDigger.com. SchoolDigger is an online database that provides detailed profiles of over 136,000 public and private schools across the US. The database features and ranks school districts and schools based on enrollment data, test scores, financial statistics, and more. 

 

With the 20th ranking, District 50 rose two spots in the South Carolina school district rankings from the previous school year. The district was also recognized for having a 4-star rating in the state. Several District 50 schools also showed improvement in the recent rankings released by SchoolDigger. 

 

  • Lakeview Elementary moved up 140 spots in the rankings, moving up from 318 to 178.

 

  • Hodges Elementary moved up in the rankings from 39th to 23rd in the state.

 

  • Westview Middle moved into the top 100 rankings for the first time in school history, moving up 28 spots from 119 to 91. 

 

  • Mathews Elementary moved up in the rankings from 171st to 121st in the state.

 

  • Rice Elementary moved from 301st to 257th in the rankings.

 

  • Merrywood and Pinecrest ranked in the top 200 elementary schools in the state out of 640 elementary schools in South Carolina. Northside ranked in the 200 middle schools in the state out of 320 middle schools.
