Superintendent Glenn Offers School Safety Message and Reminders in the Wake of the Tragedy in Texas

As we conclude another school year, our district’s top priority is the safety of our students and staff. Please note that district officials and school administration will remain in constant communication with law enforcement as we work together to keep our campuses safe. Our District Safety Officer works diligently to review and refine our safety protocols and procedures in the event of an emergency situation.

The following are safety reminders as we complete the school year:

  • Limited visitors - Visits to our schools will be by appointment only.
  • Enhanced security at end of year award days/celebrations.
  • Metal detectors and clear bag policy at high school graduation ceremonies.
  • Mental health support and counseling available at all schools.

We will continue to remain proactive when it comes to the safety of our students and staff. As always, please contact an administrator, teacher, or staff member at your school if you notice any type of threat. If You See Something, Say Something.

Please continue to keep the entire community of Uvalde, the students, the teachers, the staff, and the parents of Robb Elementary School in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Dr. Steve Glenn, Superintendent
