Two New Elementary Assistant Principals Named in District 50

Greenwood School District 50 recently announced the hiring of two new Assistant Principals following Monday night’s Board of Trustees meeting. 


Taylor Crosby will be the Assistant Principal at Mays Elementary next year. Crosby has 11 years of experience in education with 9 of those years in Greenwood District 50. She is currently a virtual teacher at Lakeview Elementary where she has served for the past 6 years. She has also served as a Lower Montessori teacher at Mathews Elementary and Hickory Tavern School and K5 teacher at Woodfields Elementary. Crosby obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Lander University and received her Masters degree in Montessori Education from Lander University. She also received a Masters degree as an Education Specialist from Clemson University in 2018.

  

Tabatha Brewer has been named as the Assistant Principal at Lakeview Elementary School. Beginning in October 2020, Brewer served as the Interim Assistant Principal at Lakeview.  During her 29 years in District 50, Brewer has worked as an administrator, instructional coach, and teacher. Brewer graduated from Lander University and went on to earn a Masters of Education degree from Southern Wesleyan. She has also obtained a Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors School.
