Greenwood School District 50 will be offering free meals to anyone 18 years or under through December 31st. The extension for free meals was recently announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This offering is similar to the emergency meals which were provided to students and children in the community during the summer. This extension includes all children 18 years and younger in the Greenwood community, even if the child is not enrolled in District 50. Free meals can be picked up at the Genesis Education Center on Mondays from 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
If a parent/guardian can not pick up a meal for their child(ren) on this day or during this time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a different date/time.
“We welcome everyone in our community to participate,” D50 Child Nutrition Director Amy Stabler stated. “This includes pre-school ages, home school students, private schools, etc. Parents or guardians will be allowed to pick up meals for their children even if they are not present with them. The parent or guardian will be asked to give the child’s name and age if the child is not present during the meal pickup.”
