Hamm Named Principal at Brewer Middle School

Hamm Brewer Middle School will have a new face as principal next school year. 

Amanda Hamm has been named as Principal at Brewer Middle School. 

“I’m honored to be selected as the Principal for Brewer Middle School,” Hamm said. “I look forward to working with the students, staff, and Brewer community as we continue to build upon a tremendous tradition of excellence. I’m confident that our collective efforts will have a positive impact on student achievement and the lives of our students.”

Hamm is currently completing her second year as an Assistant Principal at Greenwood High School. Prior to joining the District 50 family, Hamm served as a school district leader in the Phoenix metro area of Arizona.

During her 16 years in public education, she has worked as a teacher, district athletic director, prevention services specialist, program supervisor, and district department manager in school districts in Arizona and North Carolina.  Hamm graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC in 2002 and went on to earn a Master’s of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

“Mrs. Hamm has proven to be an exceptional educator in our district and school districts in Arizona and North Carolina,” Superintendent Steve Glenn stated. “Her professionalism and enthusiasm will be an added bonus for Brewer Middle School’s students, staff, and parents. I am confident that she will do a tremendous job at Brewer.”
