RTC Hosts Annual Awards Program

The G. Frank Russell Technology Center held its annual Awards Program on May 16, 2019 at Greenwood High School.  163 program completers were recognized for their work at RTC. Special awards were given to the following students:

Frank Russell Distinguished Student Award

Crystal Shannon - Greenwood HS

 

Daniel Morgan Hicks Scholastic Achievement Award

Layton Logan - Emerald HS

 

Kay Smyth Outstanding Service Award

Rachel Peeler - Emerald HS

Joseph Dickey - Greenwood HS

Additionally, two students received state awards in Career and Technical Education.  Courtney Robertson, Early Childhood Major, received the Technology Champion Award for the Upper Savannah Region.  Courtney will also be recognized at the Education and Business Summit in Greenville at the end of June. Skyler Gravely, Biomedical Science Major, received the Upper Savannah Region Work-Based Student of the Year Award.  Both students received scholarship monies for these awards.
