EHS Aerospace Engineering Program Recognized at October Board Meeting


During the October Board meeting, the EHS Aerospace Engineering program was recognized as the #1 program in the nation! This past summer, District 50 was notified by Southern Regional Education Board’s Advanced Career Program that Emerald High School’s Aerospace Engineering class was one of the best in the country!

In the first year of the program, Emerald and Greenwood High School students scored as the Highest Performing Class in the country on an End-of-Course exam.

Only 29 students in the nation scored Advanced on the End-of-Course exam in the Fundamentals of Aerospace Technology course and guess what? 11 of those students were from EHS and GHS.

Students and Aerospace Engineering Instructor Josh Buchanan were presented certificates and medals for their outstanding performance. Students from the class included in the recognition were as follows:
