RTC Students Recognized for Participating in the Youth Apprenticeship Program


Students from the G. Frank Russell Technology Center had the opportunity to obtain work experience first-hand by participating in the Youth Apprenticeship and Registered Youth Apprenticeship Programs. Business and industry partners were Ballentine Ford, Ballentine Toyota, Carolina Tool, Eaton Power Systems, Fujifilm Manufacturing, Greenwood Genetic Center, Lonza, Performance Plus Automotive, and VELUX-Greenwood, Inc. Each of the students and their mentors were recognized at an awards ceremony. Front row left to right are Hailey Ouzts, Kezoria Moss, Hayden Wilson, and Molly McDermott. Outstanding Youth Apprenticeship Students of the year went to Chandler Beale and Hayden Wilson. Chandler’s work experience was at VELUX Greenwood and Hayden’s work experience was at the Greenwood Genetic Center. Hayden was also named Upper Savannah Work-Based Learning Student of the Year. Sydney Ladd with the Greenwood Genetic Center was named Mentor of the Year.
