My name is Marie Stevens and I have been teaching for 26 years in Greenwood District 50. I have a Bachlors Degree from Lander University in Early and Elementary Education. My experience includes teaching 5th grade, Reading Recovery, 1st grade, kindergarten and  2nd grade. I have been teaching 2nd grade for six years at Lakeview Elementary, and I LOVE IT!  My love of children and the challenges that come with teaching are the reasons I became a teacher.
I live in Honea Path with my husband Mark, our sixteen year old son William, and our two dogs Ollie and Ava.  When away from school I enjoy doing things with my family, friends, and church. I also enjoy playing golf, shopping, traveling, reading, and cheering on my TIGERS. I'm a CLEMSON fan married to an Alabama fan, so football season has been a little interesting around my house the past few years.
During my summer break I spent time at the beach, relaxing in our pool, working on projects, and visiting my brother and his family in Nashville. I also helped with VBS and some mission projects at my church.
I am very excited about this school year, and I know it is going to be a wonderful experience for me and your child as we learn new things to get prepared for 3rd grade.
Dollywood          Ava likes to use Ollie as a pillow!
