Greetings, my name is Amye Frazier-Barnette and I am excited to be a part of the Woodfields Elementary School Family this year.  I will be your child’s resource teacher this year.

I’m a native of Greenwood.  I am the proud parent of a 14-year-old son and a 13-year- old daughter. My best friends are my mother and my nine-year-old shih-Tzu (Princess Barnette).

I'm a 2018 graduate of Lander University with a degree in Special Education (Multi-categorical). I received a BS Degree from Voorhees College in 1991 in Sociology.

I have been employed at Greenwood School District 50 as a Applied Behavior Specialist for the past 3 years.  I have 25 years plus, experience with working with special needs.  I have also served on the Council for Exceptional Children.  This is my 1st year of teaching Special Education.

I have a passion for learning and working with children.    I'm super excited to be able to work with your child this year.   Part of my goal as your child’s teacher is to motivate he/she to want to learn and to spark their curiosity.  It is my desire to excite your child about the world of learning and broaden his or her academic interests.  I have high expectations for all students!   My job as their teacher is to assist them to be the best somebody that they can be!

I enjoy spending time with my family, designing and making silk floral arrangements, gardening, singing and doing arts and crafts.

Thank you for affording me the opportunity to work with you and your child this year.  I look forward to a great school year 2018-2019!

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I can be reached at barnettea@gwd50.org or by calling the school during the school hours.
