Degrees and Certifications:
This will be my 39th year of teaching high school math, 37 in South Carolina and two in North Carolina. It is my third year at Greenwood High School after teaching at John de la Howe, Gaffney High School McCormick High School and 24 years at Calhoun Falls High School and the Calhoun Falls Charter School where I have lived for the has 21 years. I have also taught several years at Piedmont Tech part time. During my career, I have also coached volleyball, football and 15 years of baseball.
For the last 24 years I have been an official/referee/umpire for the South Carolina High School League in baseball, softball, basketball and football. I have really enjoyed my experience as an official as it keeps my active and involved in sports even though I am way too old to play anything except a little golf.
I do plan to retire after this school year but that was my plan last year as well. I look forward to spending time with my wife, Cindy, my six children and nine grandchildren along with a little golf. I have enjoyed my time as an Eagle and appreciate this opportunity contribute to educational process of each of my students. The best part of teaching has been the positive impact that a teacher can make on the young lives of students and that is my hope and prayer for this school year.
