I am Mrs. Wells, and I teach English here at Emerald High School. When I graduated from Lander University, I knew that I wanted to join the faculty at EHS. Emerald is a close-knit school, and I am proud to be a Viking!
Students! Below are a few things I would like for you to know about me. Please read and enjoy.
I want you to know I care about you, your education and your future. I am here for you. You are the reason I chose this
as my profession. I promise you I will do my very best to provide you with the education that you deserve. I can't do it alone though. My
expectations are that you will always strive to try your very best.
I love being close to my family, and we are always doing fun things together. I am happily married to a wonderful husband I have known since kindergarten! Together we have two beautiful daughters.
I am the youngest of six children and also the youngest of seventeen grandchildren. I have numerous cousins who I am close to and call my best friends.
I have a twin sister, who is one minute older than me. We look very much alike. She teaches here at Emerald as well, so be careful not to call her Mrs. Wells when you see her in the hallway!
I played soccer in high school, and I still like to kick around. I also love kayaking, hiking, and of course reading!
I enjoy reading many different genres, but I understand that reading is not everyone’s favorite pastime. I want you to know that I will help you enjoy reading more, if you do not already find it pleasurable.
I am from McCormick, South Carolina, attended high school in Lincolnton, Georgia, and graduated from Lander University right here in Greenwood, SC. I currently reside in McCormick County near the lake. I basically live in the middle of a forest and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I am looking forward to getting to know you, and I hope we will have a fabulous school year.
