• Welcome to my class! Meet Your TeacherThe Teacher

Hi!  My name is Missy Moseley and I want to welcome you and your child to First Grade at Woodfields Elementary. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish at Anderson University then continued my education at Clemson University acquiring a Masters in Special Education with a concentration in Emotionally Disabilities.  I continued my studies in education at Clemson receiving my 30 above my Masters in the area of Learning Disabilities.  With the love of teaching and my love for children, I continued my education obtaining my certification in Early Childhood Education.  I am married to a wonderful man - Marty and between the two of us, we have a house full of children.

This year is going to be an exciting one, especially with your child in my classroom.  Besides the daily lessons we will be doing, my goal is for each child to read, write and practice what we do in class at home.  Please encourage this by listening to your child, read with your child and stay in constant communication with me.

I welcome you to take part in First Grade by volunteering in the classroom, go on field trips with us or just visit with us for the day.  We are going to have lots of fun.  All students will be active learners in the classroom along with the encouragement of creativity.  I will keep you up to date by asking you to sign the newsletter that will be sent home weekly.

Parents are the most important people in a child's life, and we need to work together for the benefit of you child.  I need you to support our academic, homework and discipline efforts here at school.  In return, I will keep you informed about all aspects of your child's experiences at school.  With school and home working together, I know that each and every student can have his/her year in first grade extremely successful.  I look forward to meeting you personally..

    With Love,
    Missy Moseley
