• I welcome you and your child to the 2016-2017 school year.I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some of you last year. I have been teaching 17 of my 21 years here at Rice Elementary. I graduated from Newberry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I attended Clemson University to earn my certification in Special Education. I am happily married to Chris Tripp and have two children. My daughter, Madison, is attending Lander University to become a teacher.  My son, Andrew, attends Greenwood High School and is a cross country runner. I enjoy reading and hiking in my free time.
This year I will be working in K5-2nd grade classrooms to teach in the inclusion model. I will focus my teaching mainly on language arts and math. I have high expectations for a great and prosperous year for your child’s educational growth. I expect all of the students to be productive throughout the year. With the teacher, student, and parents working as a team this will be a very successful year.Thank you for your support this year!
