it's all about having a growth mindset we work hard to instill values in our students to do your very best every day for the morning announcements I tell them you are the best and we expect the best well as a teacher I feel like the first thing we do to aim for excellence is always setting a high expectation for our students regardless of where they're at there's always room for students to be able to grow 1 way that we have accomplished that's making sure that our instruction aligns to standards that have been set within the state the way that we're teaching our kids vertically aligns to what they've been taught in the past with how the standards translate from grade level to grade level ways that I help my students aim for excellence is just setting high expectations and never like letting down from them letting them know that no matter where you come from no matter which background looks like everybody is capable and everybody has something to offer and when we kind of give what we all have to bring to the table we push ourselves together up to be the best us that we can possibly be I really feel like woodfields I know in general has come a really long way if you walk into any classroom I feel like the students are engaged you have very active teaching so the teachers are always moving around the room they're really monitoring students they're engaging with their students so I feel like that's been a big transition I I'm I'm proud to work with the people I work with so it's just having those expectations across the board that every student can do and we strive for excellence in everything we do every day
