  • SAT Prep classes for high school students will be given March 21st, 28th and April 4th from 1:00-4:00 PM at Piedmont Technical College. The cost is $80.00 which includes your book. The registration deadline is March 18th. To register call 864-941-8400 or visit www.ptc.edu/coned.

  • The SC Young Lawyers Division is sponsoring the Cinderella Project which provides gently worn formal bridesmaid and prom dresses for young women who lack the financial resources to purchase a dress for the high school prom. This will be held on March 7th, from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Emerald Baptist Church social hall.. Girls from all area schools are invited to attend and must bring their school ID.

  • Four Emerald High School wrestlers placed in the state wrestling tournament. Kivontay Clinkscales placed 4th, Luke Newton is a state runner-up, Connor Pirkle earned a state championship, and Gage Cervenka won his fourth state championship making history as the first four time heavyweight champion. Congratulations wrestlers!

  • The ASVAB interest inventory will be given Wednesday, March 18th at 8:30 AM in room 719. The ASVAB is designed to assist students in choosing a career field. Students must be 16 years old to take the ASVAB. Taking the ASVAB does not mean you are making any commitment to the military. Sign up in the media center.
