Emerald High School has adopted a new program called PBIS (Positive Behaviorial Interventions and Supports) for the 2010-2011 school year. Students have been taught what behaviors are expected of them and were introduced to AROMR badges. (A= Academics R= Respect M= Motivation O=Organization and R= Responsibility) Students are given opportunities to earn badges and turn them in for a variety of different incentives. We also have big celebrations which have included a sno cone party, Christmas social and popcorn and drinks. Here is a copy of the teaching matrix.
