I was born in Medina, Ohio. Upon graduation from high school I moved to Spartanburg, SC. I went on to attend Spartanburg Technical College where I earned an Associates of Arts degree. Afterwards, I attended the University of South Carolina Upstate, earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Education. Upon completion of my bachelors degree, I continued and attained a Master of Science Degree in School Leadership from Furman University. For 16 years, in Spartanburg and Greenwood counties, I have served students in the capacity of teacher, coach, assistant principal, and enjoyed every step of the way. One of my greatest pleasures is to watch a student walk across the stage and shake the hands of principals and superintendents on the way to receiving a high school diploma.
I am married and have two wonderful children ages eleven and three. In my spare time I love to take in Ohio State Buckeye football, high school athletics and drag racing.
