The role of the instructional specialist is to work with teachers and administrators at the school level, as well as the Instruction Department at the district level, to ensure that the South Carolina Standards are being implemented and student needs are being met.  Instructional Specialists also assist teachers with data collection and analysis, curriculum plans, and ideas for instruction.
