Hello, my name is Jill Evans and this is my first year as the school nurse at Mathews Elementary.  Before I came to Mathews, I worked as a labor and delivery nurse and a home health nurse at Abbeville Area Medical Center.  I received my nursing degree from Piedmont Technical College in 2001.  I have been married for 8 years and have a 5 year old daughter named Josie. 

 

My primary concern is the overall health of the students at Mathews and helping them get the most of their classroom time. Here in the Health Room, I take care of everything from abrasions to illnesses.   I also teach about health and prevention issues during the year.

 

TAKING CARE OF YOU:  Remember to exercise 20 minutes a day.  It is a great stress reducer and can help maintain a healthy weight.  Get plenty of rest and drink water.
