PROMOTION/RETENTION GUIDELINES

The district affirms academic excellence for students.  These promotion/retention guidelines describe the standards our students must meet in order to maintain academic excellence and be considered for promotion from one grade to the next at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

These guidelines will be applicable to all students in grades kindergarten through twelve who are in the regular school program.  The Individualized Education Program (IEP) will govern the student’s functioning in special education programs.  The district will administer these guidelines fairly, equitably, and consistently in all elementary, middle, and high schools.
