THE PROCESS: Before every grading period or interim
report period, someone at the school must run the SASIxp
routines that move student rosters from student schedules into CLASSxp for grade reporting. That process is called Update Progress (for
interim reports) and Update Grades (for regular grading periods). If this process is not done, teachers will
not have class rosters for entering grades. THE STEPS: The following steps will take you through
the process. Do these steps when you
are sure all student schedules are stable and your teachers are ready to
enter grades: 1.
Log into SASIxp with Security Officer rights. 2.
Double-click the SASI Modules
globe. 3.
Double-click the Grade
Reporting briefcase. 4.
For INTERIM REPORTS: a.
Double-click the Progress
briefcase b.
Double-click the Update
Progress icon c.
Type the Progress Title
(Fall 1st Term, Fall 2nd Term, Spring 1st Term, or Spring 2nd Term) d.
Click to select Update Progress
Reporting file from student schedules e.
Click the Run button f.
Gray bar at lower left of window will show results g.
When process is complete, click the Close button h.
Teachers can now enter grades for the interim report 5.
For regular GRADING PERIOD: a.
Double-click the Grading
briefcase b.
Double-click the Update Grades
icon c.
Choose the appropriate Reporting
Period from the drop-down list d.
Click to select Update Grade Reporting
file from student schedules e.
Click the Run button f.
Gray bar at lower left of window will show results g.
When process is complete, click the Close button h. Teachers can now enter grades for report
