SASIxp Index

SASIxp now includes seven atoms designed specifically for collecting and storing information related to South Carolina data needs.  Collectively, those atoms are called the “SC Supplemental Atoms.”  Whenever the SASIxp administrator adds a new user or changes access rights for an existing user, the SASI Modules Setup routine must be run.  That routine removes the SC Supplemental Atoms; thus, it is necessary, in the current version of SASIxp, to re-install those atoms at times.  The following steps will assist in that process:

1.         Log into SASIxp with the rights and permissions to re-install the SC Supplemental Atoms.

2.         If you do not have a briefcase on your desktop named “SC Extra,” you must create one before going on.

a.         Click File on the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop.

b.         Click New Folder on the drop-down menu.

c.         Name the folder “SC Extra” and click OK.

d.         Return to the SASIxp desktop.

3.         On the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop, click File; then choose Install Atom from the drop-down menu.

4.         Navigate to the SASIxp folder on your server (see your OCS staff member for that path).

5.         In the SASIxp folder, double-click the User folder.

6.         Double-click the DataAtom folder.

7.         In the DataAtom folder, double-click the file named ATM10001.

b.         This atom collects Academic Plan information, among other things.

8.         On the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop, click File; then choose Install Atom from the drop-down menu.

9.         In the DataAtom folder, double-click the file named ATM10002.

a.         The SC Transportation atom will appear on your desktop.

b.         This atom collects transportation and address information, among other things.

10.      On the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop, click File; then choose Install Atom from the drop-down menu.

11.      In the DataAtom folder, double-click the file named ATM10003.

a.         The SC Occupational atom will appear on your desktop.

b.         This atom collects “completer” information, among other things.

12.      On the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop, click File; then choose Install Atom from the drop-down menu.

13.      In the DataAtom folder, double-click the file named ATM10004.

a.         The SC Additional Stu Info atom will appear on your desktop.

b.         This atom includes district-defined fields, most used when Osiris files were converted.

14.      Three atoms have been added since the 2002-2003 school year.  Those atoms will have unique names for each school (unlike the four listed above, which have the same name at each school).  Please use the file names from the table below to install the new atoms at your school.
