Greenwood School District 50 SASIxp: Updating Precode Definitions

	Each year, schools must extract Precode data for the testing program. Precode data are also used to determine school report card factors under the State’s accountability reporting program. The Precode module was created in SASIxp for South Carolina purposes. Unfortunately, the Precode module is not dynamically linked to student records; therefore, it is necessary to update Precode definitions whenever a new student is enrolled in your school. The following steps will help complete that process: 1. Log into SASIxp with security officer rights (see lower right of screen to confirm status). 2. Open the Enrollment module. 3. Click the link arrow to EFA/EIA Info. 4. On the menu bar at the top of the SASIxp desktop, click EFA/EIA Info. 5. Click Update Pre Code Data Items on the drop-down menu. [DANGER: Be sure not to choose EFA/EIA Initialization. If you complete that process, you must re-enter all your EFA and EIA codes.] 6. Click the Continue button on the Warning screen. 7. At the lower left of the screen, you will see the progress graph. 8. Click OK on the completion screen. 9. Close the windows you no longer need. 1. Follow separate instructions for entering Precode data for each student.
