SASIxp:  Using the Conference Module

SASIxp Index


1.       Log into SASIxp normally (userID, <TAB>, password, <ENTER>).

2.       Double-click the SASI Modules globe.

3.       Double-click the Student Info brief case.

4.       Double-click the Conference icon.

5.       Type the last name of the student and click the Find button.

6.       If the displayed student is not the one you're looking for, use the left and right arrows at the bottom of the Conference screen to go backward or forward in the file until you find the appropriate student.

7.       When you have the correct student, click the Data item on the menu bar at the top of the screen.

8.       Then click Add Conference on the drop-down menu.

9.       Enter the appropriate Date.

10.   Click the Cd (Code) field and select the appropriate Conference Code.  The description will be displayed automatically.

11.   In the Cn# field, enter the Counselor's ID number.  The Counselor's Name (Cn Name) will be displayed automatically.

12.   If appropriate, enter the name of the referring person, the referral data, and other dates.

13.   In the Comments box, enter additional information related to this counseling session.  This box is used to note the action taken by the counselor and anything else that would be appropriate.

14.   When all information is complete, click the Save button; then, click the Close button.

15.   You will see the record entered in the Conference table for this student.

16.   If you want to go to another student, click the button between the arrows (magnifying glass and "F") to return to the Find screen.  Then repeat steps 5-16.

17.   If you are finished with all your Conference record keeping, click Close on this window.

18.   When you exit SASIxp, it is extremely important that you not use the "X" button in the upper right corner.  ALWAYS USE FILE/QUIT.
