GETTING INTO CLASSxp 1.
Log into the network normally (Novell userID and password). 2.
Open the “Novell-delivered Application
Launcher” (NAL) window (a button on the taskbar at the bottom of the
screen). 3.
A blue icon labeled “CLASSxp” should be visible in the right side of
the NAL window. If it is not, click
“ALL” in the left side of the window. 4.
Double-click the CLASSxp
icon. The CLASSxp
login screen will appear. 5.
Type your SASIxp
userID, press the <TAB> key, and type
your SASIxp password. (Note:
If you press <ENTER> between your userID
and password, you will get an error message.
Also note: Your password is
case-sensitive; it must be typed exactly as it appears in your letter, with
upper- and lower-case letters.) 6.
Click the Login button (or press
<ENTER>) after typing your password. 7.
You may see messages at lower left of
screen about “updating your desktop.”
These will appear in either red or gray bars. This indicates that an update has been made
since the last time you logged in. B. USING CLASSxp
1.
A list of your classes will be
displayed in the Class Selection window. 2.
Double-click the class for which
you want to enter grades. 3.
The class grid will be displayed,
showing the names of the students in that class. 4.
Click Performance on the menu bar
at the top of the screen. 5.
Choose Class Grades from the
drop-down menu. 6.
Choose Grades (if this is a
regular marking period) or Progress (for interims). 7.
Your students will be listed with columns
for grades and comments (two) per quarter. 8.
Enter your grades and choose your
comments for each student. 9.
Click the Save button to finalize
your grades and comments. C. ADDITIONAL
TASKS IN CLASSxp 1.
To return to the class grid, click the Close
button on the class roster screen. 2.
To go to another class to enter grades,
click Class on the menu bar.
Then choose Close Class near the bottom of the drop-down
menu. Repeat Part B above. D. TO
QUIT CLASSxp 1.
If you are in a class, click Class
on the menu bar, then Close Class on the drop-down menu. 2.
If you’re at your class list, click the Cancel
button. 3.
At the CLASSxp
login screen, click Exit. |
