Steps to be completed in SASIxp Test History module

These are instructions on how to record DIAL-3 Screening information for 4-year-old PK students.  This information will be collected from the SASI Extended Test History atom this year.  The SASI Early Childhood atom does not have a date field to provide the date the test was administered; therefore, DIAL-3 screening data will not be collected from the SASI Early Childhood atom this year.

1. From the SASI modules globe open Test History Þ Extended Test History Þ Testing History.  Use the search arrows or the find feature to locate the appropriate student.

2. From the Data menu select Add Test.  Another screen will open to enter the required data.  From the Test ID field select the appropriate DIAL-3 screening.  If this is the first screening, select DIAL3-S1.  All districts are required to complete the first screening; however, only districts in the pilot program are required to complete the second screening.

3. After selecting the appropriate screening, the detail screen will open displaying the screening information.  The screening date (Adm Date) and the raw scores for each area are required, the percentile rank is encouraged, and all other field may be left blank.

4. Once the information is saved, select the “Edit scores – display without masks” box to edit the data.  Close the detail screen and the main Testing History screen.

5. If the second screening is required, select Add Test from the Data menu.  To get back to the detail screen, if changes are needed, click the line number for the appropriate screening and click the Open button.
