STEMS Magnet School

Titans Organized and Prepared for Success

The purpose of our TOPS Notebooks is to teach responsibility and organization skills. All basic supplies are included in the notebook, which may be purchased at orientation.

TOPS NOTEBOOKS include:

Nylon pencil pouch with:

1 12-pk colored pencils

2 glue sticks

1 yellow highlighter

2 black pens

6 #2 pencils

2 3” x3” post-it note pads

20 sheet protectors

1 student agenda

2 packs 8 tab notebook dividers

1 pad of 4x4 graph paper

1 pkg. 150 sheets college rule notebook paper

Below are some guidelines that can help parents reinforce these skills:

·         Each notebook will have an agenda in the front. This agenda contains our student handbook, a page used for hall passes, and pages for homework assignments.

·         Divider tabs are used for each subject area, related arts and Westview information.

·         All student assignments should be labeled in the top, right-hand corner in the following manner:

                                                                                                            Name

                                                                                                            Date

                                                                                                            Assignment

  • Students must take the TOPS notebook to each class.
  • The agenda should have something written beside each class every day. If there is no homework students are instructed to write something they learned that day.
