• Springfield Spelling Bee Winners

    Springfield Elementary held its Spelling Bee Final on Thursday, February 12th. The five semi-finalists were Noah Perrin, Julia Creswell, Anna Wiseman, Gabi Sadurski, and Mia Scott. Mia Scott was our overall winner and Gabi Sadurski will attend the Regional Spelling Bee in Anderson. Thank you to all Spelling Bee parents and participants.

  • Springfield Honors School Board Member, Ken Cobb

    School Board Member, Ken Cobb, visited Springfield on Friday, January 30th. Students shared some of the awesome things they were doing in their classrooms from using Skype to creating projects using iPads. Thank you Mr. Cobb for your hard work for Greenwood District 50!

  • Project Based Learning at Springfield

    Teachers from Springfield took a road trip to Oakland Elementary in Boiling Springs to see Project Based Learning (PBL) in action! It was exciting to see students researching, creating, and making global connections. Be sure to ask your child about his or her PBL activities here at Springfield!

  • Mrs. Perrin Takes the Book-It Principals' Challenge!

    Mrs. Perrin took the Pizza Hut Book-It Principals' Challenge by reading ALL day on Friday, November 14th. She shared her favorite picture books with students in the Commons Area. Mrs. Perrin reminded studnets that "Reading gives you superpwers!"

  • Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
    Get ready for a "Seusstastic" week!  We are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday during the week of March 2nd-6th.  We will read a Dr. Seuss book each day and dress to match!  We will also have guest storyteller and magician, Tim Sonefelt, visit on Friday, March 6th.  Click here to view the full schedule!
