Clark, Anna - First Grade

ALL ABOUT MRS. CLARK

My name is Anna Clark. I have been happily married for 32 years. My husbands name is Craig. We have 3 daughters, 1 grandaughter, and 1 grandson. We also have 3 cats and 2 dogs. My hobbies are playing with my grandchildren, sewing, camping, and quilting.

I started my career at Merrywood as an assitant in Kindergaten.  I returned to school when my youngest child started first grade.  I graduated  from Lander University in 1997 with a degree in early childhood education. I taught at Oakland Elementary for 14 years.  There I taught first grade for 10 years.  Then, I was given the opportunity to train as a Reading Recovery teacher. I served my last 4 years at  Oakland as a Reading Recovery teacher. It was a great experience. I learned so much about helping struggling students to read.   I enjoyed my experience as a Reading Recovery teacher but my heart was always in the classroom.  I am so happy to be back in the classroom at Merrywood. I have found a new place to call home.

We are going to have a great school year!
